Mission Statement

We've had the pleasure of working with gamble + design for nearly seven years now, and we really can’t imagine working with anyone else. Our journey began when we first purchased our home, a charming structure from the 1920s in the Forest Hill neighborhood of San Francisco that had not seen updates in decades. Under the creative and thoughtful direction of Jeni and her team, our house underwent a truly dramatic transformation.

She is great at keeping an eye on the broader vision for the house, but also meticulous on the details. We've ended up continuing to work with her on other projects in our home as well as furniture, art, and other furnishings. “I reached out to gamble + design because I loved the contemporary, minimalist projects of theirs on Houzz. Jeni instantly agreed to my wish for a contemporary black-and-white decor. After she listened to my needs and wants, what started out as a simple kitchen remodel grew to encompass an inviting open space. The result was a complete refresh of the kitchen, family room, and living room. During the process, I counted on Jeni’s expert color sense and awareness of trends. And with my busy work schedule and lack of expertise in remodeling, I was really glad I could count on the design + gamble team to do the drawings, engage engineering as needed, supply choices for furniture based on my taste, find contractors, and get the building permit. No one comes to my home without commenting on how stunning it is. The list ranges from family and friends amazed at the change from its “before” (traditional) look, to newer guests, electricians, and window washers. Just last week a furniture delivery man not only appreciated the look of the house but wanted to obtain the same tiles and one furniture piece because he so appreciated their quality and beauty.”

Wow! I am so Impressed with Jeni and Murry and the whole staff at @gambleplusdesign. They did my Kitchen and, well honestly, created my entire home design, in my house in Los Angeles. They were so knowledgeable about anything that I needed to know and although they are based in San Fransisco everything was done in such a timely manner.  “My wife and I were in the midst of a major house renovation when we started to have difficulties in choosing lighting fixtures. We called Gamble + Design and they proved to be a godsend. Murray is a lighting specialist, so we got a lot of input on the technical aspects of LEDs and dimmers and such that we really didn't know anything about. Not only did gamble + design quickly help us select interesting, high quality fixtures for more than 30 lights throughout the house, Jeni also guided us through tile selection and then the interior paint selection.
