Position:
Designer

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in residential interior design; with excellent presentation and drafting skills. The Designer will work under the Principal and oversee all aspects of the design process – from schematic design to construction documentation and construction management. The Designer will be expected to develop a visual presentation of the design concept and successfully communicate the Principal and client's objectives. 

Responsibilities: Formulate preliminary space plans, design concept studies and sketches that integrate the client's needs and are based on knowledge of the principles of interior design and theories of human behavior; appropriately convey conceptual, functional, life-cycle performance, environmental, and safety requirements. 

  • Research, analysis, coordinate and develop all contract documents including: design presentations, moodboards, 3D Models & Visualization, rendered floorplans and elevations, specifications and drawings, full set of construction drawings, specification packages, custom furniture design and documentation

  • Prepare specifications and schedules with accurate product information for all millwork, casework, appliances, plumbing, hardware finishes, and accessories

  • Prepare construction documents, consisting of plans, elevations, details and specifications; reflected ceiling plans and lighting designs; materials and finishes

  • Performing field visits/measurements and construction administration services including site visits, responding to RFIs, reviewing control samples and shop drawings, coordinating with consultants, manufacturers, and contractors, and completing punch list

  • Preparation of construction documents to adhere to regional building codes, and any other jurisdictional statutes, regulations and guidelines applicable to the interior space. 

  • Coordination and collaboration with other design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting services, including but not limited to architects, structural, and various specialty consultants

  • Observation and reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completion, as a representative of and on behalf of the client; and punch list items.

REQUIREMENTS & CORE COMPETENCIES

REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design 

  •  Minimum of 3+ years in residential interior design experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Interior Architecture (IA) scopes in residential standards

  •  Excellent presentation skills, including space planning and drawing.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, MS Suite, Sketchup (or similar 3D modeling software), Escape or similar rendering plug-n

  • Strong experience in management and coordination of construction drawing sets with strong knowledge of construction detailing, materials, methods, fabrication, interior finishes, programing and codes

  •  Experience selecting and specifying cabinetry, stone scopes, appliances, plumbing fixtures, door and cabinetry hardware, materials, and interior finishes.

  •  Must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable in interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors and internal staff

  •  Ability to field measure and document building condition

  •  Ability to interact effectively with the design team on multiple project

Position:
Project Coördinator/
Material Librarian/
Marketing Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in putting together presentation materials for client presentations. 

  • Work with vendors on all aspects of sourcing to ensure price and lead times are met.

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate incoming and outgoing information to and from the vendors

  • Inspect, measure, and photograph work in progress as needed

  • Work and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and subs as is necessary to assure detailed accuracy

  • Inspect delivered goods and confirm their accuracy. Get updated information on orders

  • Make sure all details and updates are entered into Studio Webware for your assigned projects

  • Work with vendors to ensure all details before installation is attended to; delivery team, installation materials, site specifics, gate keys,

  • On installation day, work with the delivery and installation team to ensure proper placement of all goods

  • Work with the Designer to prepare and provide a maintenance binder to the client.

  • Throughout the design process, take notes, update emails, proper presentation, and packaging for correspondence and deliverables, client gifting, customer service, and any additional detail

  • Social media using Later

  • NewsLetter via Active Campaign email marketing four times a year

  • Assist on Photoshoots
