Victorian Flat for This Century

Pacific Heights, San Francisco, California

Victorian Renovation with Modern Functionality

This charming Victorian home underwent a full-scale renovation to bring it into the modern era while maintaining its historic character. The scope of services included not only a thoughtful renovation but also comprehensive furniture and art selection to ensure a cohesive and livable design. The goal was to create functional, family-friendly spaces that support the lifestyle of a young family while preserving the timeless elegance of the home’s original architecture.

At the heart of the design is the beautifully crafted kitchen, where a multi-functional island takes center stage. Designed to maximize both space and flexibility, the island transitions seamlessly into an expandable dining table—perfect for accommodating everyday meals or entertaining guests. Thoughtful planning ensured that this kitchen became a hub of activity while remaining stylish, practical, and open.

A serene yoga room offers a peaceful retreat within the home, doubling as a functional office space for work and reflection. The custom metal-clad fireplace in this space creates a striking focal point, adding a modern edge while complementing the calm, minimalist design.

Throughout the renovation, special attention was paid to blending modern amenities with the home’s Victorian roots. Our team carefully curated furnishings, art, and finishes to strike the perfect balance between modern living and historic charm. A carefully selected tile backsplash pays tribute to the home’s heritage, while contemporary furniture and thoughtfully chosen artwork breathe new life into every space.
